It's the time of year where we set resolutions to change our lives. I've done this year after year, only to abandon them before spring. The past few years, I've been creating easier, more achievable goals that I do not abandon by spring. As I've gotten older, I've realized that I don't need to change every single thing about me - I'm pretty incredible as it is (side note: this is one of the huge perks of getting older. My confidence in myself and my beliefs has never been higher). Let me be clear, there's nothing wrong with wanting to get stronger, rid yourself of "stuff," or eat healthier, but it's just as important to recognize the positives of who we are right now.
When Natashia of CanaryJane shared her vision for the #IAmAmazingBecause project, I knew I wanted to take part. I feel that we are often so focused on revamping our whole life that we lose sight of how incredible we are at the beginning of the year. In turn, we often end up disappointed because we struggle to reach our goals or resolutions. I want to lose weight and declutter my home, too, but I don't want to forget how amazing I am right now.
I am amazing because:
I am kind
I am passionate
I am working towards my goal of sitting for the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (October, I'm comin' for ya)
I am intelligent
I am a great mother
I love to laugh and make others laugh
