Way back when I first started this blog, I would do a Friday Favorites post almost every week. I would write about stuff I really enjoyed that week. I shared info on my favorite apps, books, makeup, shoes, clothes, you name it. I think it's time to start that feature up again, don't you? Keep scrolling to learn more about things that I've been into for the past few weeks.

Here's what I've been loving lately

Friday Favorites

1. Printed Crepe Shift Dress

This printed crepe shift dress is from Old Navy. I actually own it in two styles, the black floral pictured here and the ditsy floral print. I'm obsessed with dark florals and both of these fit the bill for fall/winter. Add black or grey tights and booties for a fun look. Since Old Navy seems to be having a sale every day, the price is almost always right around $20. Word to the wise: I found it to be a little too short for my 5'8" frame and exchanged the regular for tall. The tall is available online only. If you're going to shop online, be sure to use Ebates for a percentage of your sale back to you!

2. dv Jameson Double Side Zip booties in Cognac

I went on a solo trip to Target and the next thing I remember was walking out with these booties. Okay, so that's an exaggeration, but they were most definitely an impulse buy. I've only worn these boots around the house to break them in, but I find them to be very comfortable. The 3 inch heel is just the right height for my liking and the cognac color is beautiful. While I usually wait for cool weather to pull out the booties, these would look great with shorts during this insanely hot Texas fall. I love the zipper detailing so much that I may go back for the black pair!

3. Gorjana Nyla double sided earrings via Rocksbox

For those not in the know, Rocksbox is a jewelry rental service that sends you 3 pieces of jewelry per box. You can borrow it for as long as you'd like. Once you're ready to send it back, just use their prepaid shipping label and put it in your mailbox (if you absolutely love something, you can buy it). You'll get another box of baubles about 5 days later. Upon signing up, I filled out a survey about my preferred style and chose 30 items for a wish list.

My Rocksbox stylist put together my first box and it was just okay. I hated one item, I liked the second, and owned a very similar item to the third. My second box was much better! It included these earrings, a delicate bracelet, and a layered necklace. While the other two pieces were great, I adored these earrings and decided I couldn't send them back, so I bought them!

4. Ribbed Open Shoulder top (plus size)

I really like the cold shoulder trend that's been all over summer and made its way into fall. Strapless bras and I just don't get along, so I shifted my gaze to the open shoulder tops. Many of the open shoulder tops have a piece of dental floss as a strap, which does not do me much good with my thick bra straps. This top meets my requirements: open shoulder, short sleeved (since it's still in the 90s in Austin), and will hide my bra strap. The low-high hemline makes it interesting when paired with shorts or long pants.

5. Faux Leather Leggings (plus size)

Last year I stepped out of my style comfort zone and bought a pair of faux leather leggings for less than $20. I wore them so much, it was the best return on investment I've had in a long time. I decided to buy a second pair this year to replace last year's pair. Yep, this mom of two in her mid-30s decided to channel her inner rockstar once again. The leggings are surprisingly versatile - they've got a little sheen to them, but can be worn with anything from a chambray shirt to a lace top (more than once) to a silk tunic to a plaid shirt... you get the point. Anyway, they've gone from brunch to a night out. I can't write enough good things about them!

That's what I'm loving this week. I had a lot of fun writing this, I will definitely be doing this more often. Let me know what you think of my picks in the comments and share what you've been enjoying this week.
