One Dress, Two Seasons

August is halfway over. Kids will be back in school, thoughts will turn to Halloween and all things pumpkin, and we'll start to put away shorts to pull out scarves. Lets not get ahead of ourselves, it's still over 100 degrees here in Texas. Fall seems a million years away when one has to worry about heatstroke every time they go outside for more than a few minutes!

Since summer is here in all her sweltering glory, I put together an outfit featuring an olive dress that can be worn from barbecues to pumpkin spice lattes. I originally saw the dress on Curves and Chaos and thought, "hey! I can breastfeed in that!" Because olive green is not as flashy as coral or turquoise, but more colorful than black or grey, it's a perfect neutral enough to transition from summer to fall.

Espadrilles and a fedora keep it casual and light in the summer time, while a bright cardigan and textured tights add some warmth for the fall. Belt it for a more defined shape. It won't get in the way when your nursling is hungry since you can unbutton it from the top for feeding access.

As always, click the image below to shop. The dress featured is a plus size dress; a similar standard size dress can be found here or here.
