My Mom Uniform: A Night Out

Every now and then, I get a chance to pull out the flat iron, lose the yoga pants, and get dolled up for a night out. Whether it's dinner with my girlfriends or dinner with my husband, it feels wonderful to get out kid free for a few hours. I found this romper late one night after everyone had gone to bed. I decided to get it: the price was right, it's black (my safe color), it was in the budget, and shipping and returns are free.

To my surprise, it is VERY comfortable and surprisingly flattering for my still getting used to my new body. Yes, I do have to disrobe almost entirely to use the bathroom, but it's not too bad if I'm only going to be wearing it for a few hours. In fact, the wide opening at the top makes it perfect for breastfeeding or even pumping. While it comes with a sash, I thought adding a real belt would give it more structure. The romper I purchased (linked below the image) is a plus size romper. If you're searching for a similar standard size item, check out this one from Lulu's, this ruffled one from Express, this navy blue option from Asos, or this buttoned one also from Express.
