[CLOSED] Milk Nursingwear Review and Giveaway

If you've been a long time reader of this blog, you may have noticed that I've been posting more about clothing that is breastfeeding friendly. While I have seen several stylish nursing tops and dresses, I don't wear them because they don't usually work for me. To be completely honest, the openings never seem to be large enough - my baby has a hard time getting a good latch because he's not able to get enough breast tissue in his mouth.

I was sent a very cute nursing top from Milk Nursingwear, a pink striped, scoop neck t-shirt perfect for the already hot Texas weather. I checked it out a little bit before putting it on and noticed how wide the openings are - a very good sign! I slipped it on just as my nursling had a major (tired) meltdown. As I nursed him to sleep (another tricky move when wearing an ill-fitting nursing top), I noticed how easily he latched and that he didn't have fabric in his mouth. Yes, that really happened once.

An action shot. It looks like my shirt is pulled up, but it's not. The openings are just that large!

The top is very stretchy and a little loose in my stomach area, which is just fine by me! The breast is easily accessed by lifting the smocked portion of the top and pulling the layer underneath to the side. The stripes help it blend in with the rest of the shirt instead of being an obvious "line" for nursing. Not only is it functional, but it's perfect for the hot summer ahead. No more having to double layer when I leave the house. It's safe to say that this pretty little nursing top is making me rethink my stance! I'll probably end up buying another shirt or two to help me get through the summer.

To breastfeed, I would slide the fabric that's underneath my thumb over.
