Things I Like

So normally when I put together a Things I Like post, I look for pictures to make it look interesting. Since it is late and I am tired, there may not be as many pics...

One of my favorite things about the fall (other than sweaters, boots, and scarves) are new episodes of my favorite shows and discovering new shows. Last night I watched Up All Night on NBC. It stars Christina Applegate, Will Arnett, and Maya Rudolph and is produced by Lorne Michaels, so there is a lot of potential for funny. I liked the show. I had some issues with a few things on the show. I asked my husband the following questions while watching "How did they skip out on 13 months of the plot??" "Why is the car seat on top of the shopping cart? That could end badly!!"
I did enjoy a few things, most notably the scene where Christina and Will's characters are arguing about who had less sleep the morning after a particularly rough night with the baby. D and I do this at least 3 times a week. I wouldn't give it two enthusiastic thumbs up and tell everyone I know to watch it, but it was good and I will tune in again next week.

Like many other women around the country, I tried to buy something from the Missoni for Target line that launched this past Tuesday. Unfortunately, Target's site was down for most of Tuesday and Wednesday. I  went to my local Target to see if they had anything remaining. Most of the shelves were empty, but I was able to snag this dress. I'm not crazy about it and will most likely be returning it. Or maybe I should sell it on Ebay...

What I got

What I wanted

Personally, I would've been happy with a scarf. While I understand that the zig zag pattern is Missoni's trademark, it's just a bit much for an entire dress. I'd prefer to use it as an accent as in the second dress or as a scarf to liven up an outfit. Were you lucky enough to snag what you wanted from the Missoni for Target sale?

I just posted a link to this on LiL's Facebook page, but it is worth sharing again. Texas WIC has launched a great new campaign promoting breastfeeding. The website has an album of lullabies for download which I'm listening to right now. Even cooler than that, it has a handy wallet size print out of Texas' breastfeeding laws AND a little "Thank you for nursing your baby" message!! It would be amazing to receive one or give one out to  a breastfeeding mom. Hmm... maybe I should get to my local Kinkos...

My awesome friend Terri posted this on her Facebook and I had to share it. Mom's voice and the song she sings are beautiful:

Happy Friday! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hmm...

The End?
