Best of 2015

On the last day of 2015, I thought I'd take a few minutes to share my favorite posts of the year. 2015 was a rollercoaster of a year for me. PPD, anxiety, no more babies, and more. I'm pretty sure I spent half the year saying "I don't want to adult anymore" and the other half loving it.  I've added a little extra about each post and why they're special to me.

Moving to a new city in 2014 meant having to find new friends and rebuild my mama village. This post was an ode to the friends I left behind, but still continue to impact my life and my mothering.

I've been pretty open about my struggles with postpartum depression and anxiety. This post is one of the most raw and unfiltered pieces I've ever written. I'm grateful for my sweet baby for so much.

Five things I'll miss about pregnancy... and five things I won't. A part of me is sad that the door on my baby years has closed, but I am truly excited to move to the next phase of being a family of four.

This year I was fortunate to participate in the Public Breastfeeding Awareness Project and was photographed by Leilani Rogers. I'm grateful to live in a little bubble filled with positive breastfeeding in public experiences. When the photos from this year's project were released, I saw some heinous comments that made me take step back and think about why I breastfeed my toddler in public.

I dipped my feet into the style blogger pool this year to find that I'm awkward in front of the camera, but love to find fantastic breastfeeding friendly clothing for women. I encourage all of you to share your #bfingstyle on social media! You can catch more awkward shenanigans on my Instagram.

Easily the biggest post of 2015! A blog redesign and change in content direction was huge for me. As I mentioned above, I enjoy helping women (especially new mothers) find clothing to make themselves feel confident. I was even able to help a reader find a breastfeeding friendly dress for a special occasion! I can't wait to take this to the next level... but I need to sit for the IBCLC exam first.

Wishing you a new year filled with love, laughter, and happiness. I look forward to more posts on motherhood, breastfeeding, and #bfingstyle in 2016!
